Projects require a complex interplay of requirements, expertise, planning and management. Without regular reviews, they can quickly get out of hand. The result is rising project costs without results, a lack of acceptance in the specialist departments, overburdened employees or even the termination of the project.
We offer you a structured and proven approach to avoid these situations. We use this approach both for planning complex projects and for restructuring distressed projects. The key is understanding and managing the individual project risks.

The starting point is a detailed assessment of the risks in the project and the project environment. To this end, we conduct qualified interviews with your key stakeholders, suppliers and those involved in the project environment on the basis of a proven questionnaire. We classify the identified risks together according to their probability of occurrence and their impact. Based on this classification, we derive the necessary measures and responsibilities to lead the project to success together.

In many engagements, we have continuously refined our methods and approaches to planning and managing large, complex transformation projects. Our approach differs significantly from many other project design models in one key respect: we systematically use risk analysis and risk management as the basis for project planning and project management.

In our experience, the causes of problems in a project lie either with the stakeholders, the project itself or the suppliers. Examples include conflicts between stakeholders, excessive demands, unclear goal definitions, insufficiently planned resources, low availability of planned resources or vaguely defined responsibilities. With our approach, avoiding these risks becomes an integral part of project management from the outset – and is therefore the key to project success.

Risks have already materialised in distressed projects. That is why, in these cases, we focus our risk analysis primarily on identifying and analysing the causes of the problems in the project. As a result of the risk analysis, we provide you with a catalogue of measures for restructuring the distressed project. Based on this, we work with you to design the project structure and project management in such a way that the causes of the problems are eliminated and the risks are minimised during the course of the project.

Typical measures include prioritising the project portfolio, expanding the project plan into a real management tool with realistic results and deadlines, introducing a clear project structure, and strengthening the role of the project manager. In extreme cases, this can also lead to a complete overhaul of the project. With our experience and risk-based approach, we help you bring distressed projects to a successful conclusion.

Whereas IT projects in the past focused primarily on technical migration, today almost every IT project is characterised by both technical and organisational changes. With the current trend towards a more flexible and agile working environment, working models and the understanding of each employee’s role are changing. Traditional training and roll-out measures only partially meet the associated requirements.

We support your transformation project from the outset on a technical and organisational level. In the organisational assessment, we analyse the upcoming changes in your organisation and plan the necessary activities. This ensures that your technological and organisational transformation is integrated and actively supported by your employees.

We accompany and support you as a sparring partner in complex transformations, restructuring processes and in all matters relating to stakeholder management and personnel selection.
