Frank Hocke started his professional life as a software developer at Volkswagen in the area of vehicle planning. His experience with large and complex legacy systems in the automotive environment stems from this time. In 2004, Frank Hocke moved to China as CIO and Head of Organization at the German-Chinese joint venture FAW-VW. From 2008 to 2011, again based in Germany, he managed after-sales and diagnostic systems in the VW Group before becoming CIO for Sales Germany and Retail Integration. After 2 years as CIO of the Russia region, he ended his active professional life at Volkswagen. He gave up the management of the VW brand’s digital sales platform and aftersales two years later.

Already during his time in the USA, he and his team used agile process models, then also known as Xtreme Programming, both in the USA and later in China, Germany and Russia. He is an expert in digital transformation and in the context of transitioning complex systems from old legacy worlds to service oriented architectures. He has an excellent network and is a member of the advisory board of an emerging startup in the field of cyber security.
