Werner Schwarz can look back on more than 30 years of experience in the organisation of IT in international industrial companies, including more than 25 years as CIO and CDO. After studying mechanical engineering at the University of Karlsruhe, he was initially responsible for the production organisation at Linde AG. He set up an assembly plant in Thailand for this company, which he managed as operations manager and in which he implemented fundamental IT processes.
As CIO of Campbell’s Germany, he was responsible for the further development of SAP-based corporate processes for Germany and was instrumental in the successful integration of a Europe-wide acquisition of Unilever-Bestfoods.
As CIO of Gerolsteiner Brunnen GmbH & Co KG, he repeatedly adapted IT processes to fundamental changes in framework conditions and set standards beyond the industry. Since 2018, he has consistently dedicated himself to the digital transformation of the company, not only developing appropriate strategies, but also successfully implementing them. This was made possible by his innovative strength and his unconditional determination to succeed.
Werner Schwarz has in-depth knowledge of all company processes and how they are supported by the SAP ecosystem; he sees his main focus as being in the areas of digital transformation, smart manufacturing, Industry 4.0 and artificial intelligence.
