Michael Kranz has 25 years of experience in leading IT and digital organizations in industrial companies. He began his career at automotive supplier LuK (now Schaeffler Group) and then moved to plant manufacturer Krones AG. In each case, his focus was on transforming the IT organization toward service orientation, reliability and flexibility. He supported this with targeted innovations in infrastructure and applications. As CIO of thyssenkrupp Steel, he then played a key role in shaping the development of IT toward integrated digital solutions with collaborative processes and innovations for cybersecurity, Industry 4.0 and Big Data, among other things. Most recently, he was responsible for Digital Experience at Audi AG.
As a partner of ACENT, Michael Kranz focuses on advising industrial companies on holistic strategy implementation with and in IT, planning and implementation of digital transformation projects, definition and implementation of a sustainable and integrated IT architecture, support in increasing process maturity levels and operational excellence in IT, and assistance for effective business-IT alignment.
