Dr. Michael Kranz

Dr. Michael Kranz has over 25 years of experience in the management of IT and digital organisations in industrial companies. He began his career at automotive supplier LuK (now Schaeffler Group) and then moved to plant manufacturer Krones AG. His focus in each case was on the transformation of the IT organisation towards service orientation, reliability and flexibility. He supported this with targeted innovations in infrastructure and applications. As CIO of thyssenkrupp Steel, he then spent 10 years significantly shaping the development of IT towards integrated digital solutions with collaborative processes and innovations for cybersecurity, Industry 4.0 and big data, among others. Most recently, he was responsible for the Digital Experience division at Audi AG.

As a partner at ACENT, Michael Kranz focuses on advising industrial companies on holistic strategy implementation with and in IT, planning and realising digital transformation projects, defining and implementing a sustainable and integrated IT architecture and providing support in increasing process maturity levels and operational excellence. Michael Kranz also manages the CIO Trend Radar for ACENT.
